Israeli Cabinet Approves Releasing 250 Palestinian Prisoners in Gesture to Abbas

[Ynet News/Jerusalem Post] Roni Sofer - The Israeli government on Sunday approved the release of 250 Palestinian prisoners ahead of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, in keeping with the promise Prime Minister Olmert made to Mahmoud Abbas in their meeting two weeks ago. Israel made a similar gesture two months ago with the release of 198 Palestinian prisoners.
