Egypt Increases Export of East Mediterranean Gas to Europe

(S&P Global) Dania Saadi - Egypt, which has substantial domestic gas production and is also supplied with Israeli gas from the Leviathan field in the Mediterranean, exported 6.64 million mt./year of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in 2021, a 10-year high. Egyptian LNG exports to Europe in 2021 reached 2.04 million mt., compared with just 270,000 mt. in 2020.
