The "Apartheid" Smear Has Been Used Against Israel for Decades
(Jewish Chronicle-UK) Dan Diker - In 1961, Ahmed Shukairy, the PLO's first chairman, declared to the UN General Assembly that Israel was practicing "the apartheid of South Africa" - six years before Israel controlled the West Bank. The indictment of Israel by Amnesty International reflects the 60-year-old PLO strategy of criminalizing Israel. In its report, Amnesty is working toward a final outcome shared with the PLO: the cancellation of the one and only democratic Jewish majority state.
