Israel Strikes Iranian Targets in Syria
(Reuters-US News) Suleiman Al-Khalidi - Israel hit Iranian targets on Sunday close to Russia's main Syrian bases on the Mediterranean coast, regional intelligence and Syrian military sources said. The Syrian army said three soldiers were killed and three were wounded in attacks near Tartous and on the outskirts of Damascus, where outposts run by Hizbullah were hit. The strikes were part of efforts to slow Iran's growing entrenchment in Syria.
