Netanyahu: Emerging Gas Deal with Lebanon May Not Be Binding
(Israel Hayom) Ariel Kahana - Ex-Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday called the Lebanese deal "a humiliating surrender to [Hizbullah chief] Hassan Nasrallah." Netanyahu said the deal "is giving away sovereign areas with a massive gas field - which belongs to...the Israelis." He added that if the deal is approved "without triggering a national referendum, we won't consider it binding." The current Israeli government is a caretaker government with elections to be held on Nov. 1.
