U.S. Fighter Jets Strike Iran-Linked Sites in Syria in Retaliation for Attacks on U.S. Troops

(AP-Washington Post) Lolita C. Baldor - U.S. fighter jets launched airstrikes Friday on weapons and ammunition storage areas linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps near Boukamal in eastern Syria, the Pentagon said, in retaliation for 19 drone and missile attacks against U.S. bases and personnel in Iraq and Syria since Oct. 17, including three new ones Thursday.
