Poll: 96 Percent of Saudis Believe Arab Nations Should Sever Ties with Israel

(Washington Institute for Near East Policy) Catherine Cleveland - 91% of Saudi citizens agree that "this war in Gaza is a win for the Palestinians, Arabs, and Muslims," according to a Washington Institute poll conducted from Nov. 14 to Dec. 6. 96% agree that "Arab countries should immediately break all diplomatic, political, economic, and any other contacts with Israel." 95% of Saudis believe that Hamas did not actually kill Israeli civilians. Positive attitudes toward Hamas shifted from just 10% in August to 40% in November-December. 87% agree that "recent events show that Israel is so weak and internally divided that it can be defeated some day."
