U.S. Defends Israel at Top UN Court
(New York Times) Marlise Simons - At the International Court of Justice in The Hague on Wednesday, Richard Visek, the acting legal adviser at the U.S. State Department, urged that the court not call for Israel's immediate withdrawal from the West Bank and eastern Jerusalem. "This conflict cannot be resolved through violence or unilateral actions," he said. "Negotiations are the path to a lasting peace."
