U.S. Military Ship Has Set Sail to Help Build Pier Off Gaza for Aid
(New York Times) Cassandra Vinograd - The U.S. military said on Sunday that the General Frank S. Besson logistics support vessel had set sail carrying equipment to build a floating pier on Gaza's coast to deliver aid by sea. The Israeli military will help coordinate the installation of the pier, IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said Saturday. Britain, the EU and the UAE said on Friday that they would join a separate maritime initiative to get aid into Gaza.
