Pro-Palestinian Protests Imply that Massacres of Israeli Jews Would Be OK
(Oklahoman) Alan Levenson - It is a bitter irony that student socialist clubs declare themselves pro-Palestinian, although on Oct. 7 Hamas murdered and kidnapped Thai agricultural workers on visas and - the Nova music concert aside - committed their worst atrocities in kibbutzim, actual socialist enclaves. Calling for the dismantlement of Israel is not a call for peaceful action: It is only "pro-Palestinian" in the sick sense that massacres of Israeli Jews would be OK. These protests possess only an anti-Israel agenda, not a pro-Palestinian one. The writer is Chair of Jewish History at the University of Oklahoma.
