Five IDF Soldiers Killed, Ten Wounded in Explosion in Northern Gaza
(Times of Israel) Emanuel Fabian - Five IDF soldiers from the Nahal Brigade's reconnaissance unit were killed and 10 were wounded in an explosion in the Beit Hanoun area in northern Gaza on Monday. The fallen soldiers are Cpt. Yair Yakov Shushan, 23; Staff Sgt. Yahav Hadar, 20; Staff Sgt. Guy Karmiel, 20; Staff Sgt. Yoav Feffer, 19; and Staff Sgt. Aviel Wiseman, 20. The soldiers were inside a building and preparing to use explosives for engineering activity when the explosives detonated, collapsing the building.
