Senior UN Peacekeeper Injured in Attack on UNIFIL Convoy in Lebanon

(BBC News) Emily Atkinson - The outgoing deputy commander of the UNIFIL peacekeeping force in Lebanon was injured on Friday in a convoy taking peacekeepers to Beirut airport and one of its vehicles was set on fire. Protesters have been blocking the road to the airport following a decision by the Lebanese government to bar two Iranian planes from landing.
