Hamas "Unwilling to Compromise," Israel to Escalate Offensive
(Jerusalem Post) Amichai Stein - A week into Israel's renewed offensive in Gaza, Hamas is still "unwilling to compromise" in hostage deal talks, a source told the Jerusalem Post on Saturday. An Israeli official said Saturday that given Hamas's current stance, Israel would escalate its military operations in the coming days. "Hamas is signaling that it is not engaging, so there is no choice - the responses will escalate."
