Report: U.S. Vetoed Gulf States' Financial Aid to Lebanon
(Israel Hayom) Shachar Kleiman - The Lebanese Hizbullah-affiliated Al-Akhbar reported Thursday that the U.S. told Gulf states, including Qatar and Saudi Arabia, not to provide any financial aid to Lebanon at this stage. They have been instructed to await developments in negotiations with Iran and the response of the Lebanese government to U.S. economic, security and political conditions. The U.S. decision also applies to Syria, where the Americans are demanding full implementation of their conditions.
