White House: "The Idea that We Would Abandon Israel Is Absurd"
(Ynet News) Daniel Adelson - The White House has denied a Washington Post report claiming that President Trump "threatened to abandon Israel if it doesn't end the war." An official source told Ynet: "This is false. The idea that we would abandon Israel is absurd." Additionally, White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told Ynet, "We continue to work in close cooperation with Israel to ensure the release of the hostages, make sure Iran never obtains nuclear weapons, and strengthen regional security in the Middle East."
