Israeli Commando Raid 5 Miles from Damascus
(Israel Hayom) Avi Cohen - IDF commando forces carried out a raid Wednesday night at a military facility in al-Kiswah, Syria, 8 km. (5 miles) south of Damascus, in a region where pro-Iranian militias operated for years under the protection of the Assad regime. The soldiers were present at the location for about two hours. Six Syrian soldiers were reported killed. The Iranians had established weapon and armament depots in the region, alongside the weapon depots of the Syrian army's 1st Division.
