Iran Presses Attacks on Arab Neighbors

(AFP) The Gulf monarchies, staunch U.S. allies, have carefully courted Iran, their powerful Shia neighbor. Saudi Arabia mended ties with Tehran after a seven-year rupture in 2023. Iran's sudden attacks Saturday on U.S. military bases in Manama, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Qatar caused widespread shock. In Bahrain's capital Manama, the base housing the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet was hit.
