IDF Reservist Killed, 3 Wounded by Hizbullah Explosive in Lebanon
(Times of Israel) Emanuel Fabian - Warrant Officer (res.) Barak Kalfon, 48, was killed and three other soldiers were wounded on Friday after an explosive device detonated in a building in the southern Lebanon village of Jebbayn. Kalfon was beyond the age of reserve duty but insisted on volunteering. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said of Kalfon, "In his civilian work as an engineer at Rafael, he contributed significantly to the security of the State of Israel, and combined a first-rate professional sense of duty with significant reserve service and many years of defending Israel."
