Israel Tried to Reach an Understanding with Syria on Turkey's Use of Its Bases
(Jerusalem Post) Avi Ashkenazi - Israel made several attempts to reach an understanding regarding Turkey's use of Syrian bases with President al-Sharaa via indirect dialogue, a source in Israel's security establishment told Channel 11. Israel only took action against the Syrian base once those talks fell through. A source told the Jerusalem Post that Israel recently provided the U.S. with intelligence on attempts by Syria to build up its military capabilities.
