Israel and the Challenges of a Wartime Economy
(Jewish News-UK) Alex Brummer - Despite the high fiscal costs and economic mayhem of running a wartime nation, Israel's economy is showing tremendous resilience. According to the Washington-based International Monetary Fund (IMF), the annual forecast for Israel's output has it growing faster than all the richest G7 countries (including the U.S.). Moreover, its ratio of debt to national output, projected at 70% this year, is lower than in most industrial nations.
