Poll: 3/4 of Israeli Jews Oppose a Palestinian State
(Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs) 75% of Israeli Jews oppose the establishment of a Palestinian state along the 1967 lines, according to a poll conducted Sep. 2-4, 2026, for the Jerusalem Center by Lazar Research. 86% of Israeli Jews were concerned about an attack similar to Oct. 7 originating from the West Bank. 80% of Israeli Jews support Israel maintaining a military buffer zone inside Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria. While the world debates the establishment of a Palestinian state, the Israeli public is focused on the opposite question: whether the West Bank will become the next front. A diplomatic plan that does not address this question will not win public support.
