Iran Is Pushing Gulf States toward Israel
(Ynet News) Itamar Eichner - Gulf states are increasingly concluding that a joint regional effort is needed to confront Iran and its proxies. For the first time, Arab states are showing willingness to take part in a U.S.-led coalition, and within that framework they are no longer ruling out cooperation with Israel. Israeli assistance to the UAE during the war was seen as proof that Israel knows how to stand by its partners in times of crisis. Israel deployed the Iron Dome system in that country, along with personnel who assisted in operating it, and also provided the UAE with real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance assistance. U.S. Central Command convened a meeting in Germany last week with military officials from Israel, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan and Egypt to discuss the war with Iran.
