The U.S. military is sending more ships, fighter jets and troops to the Middle East ahead of a possible resumption of the war. The USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier and its strike group left San Diego on Sunday and is expected to arrive in the Middle East in mid-November. It will join the USS George H.W. Bush and the USS George Washington. Three amphibious ships carrying thousands of Marines left for the region on Monday.
