Terrorist Pilot Admits Plot to Crash Plane into Israel
(Israel Hayom) Danny Zaken - Flydubai co-pilot Hamam al-Hammami, whose mother is Syrian, spent several years in Syria where he underwent religious radicalization and Islamist indoctrination. During questioning, al-Hammami admitted that he intended to crash the aircraft into a ground target in Israel. Investigators assess that carrying out such an operation would require planning and logistical support, indicating outside assistance. According to information gathered so far, investigators determined that al-Hammami held an extremist Islamist ideology and made little effort to conceal it. He posted pro-Palestinian, pro-Hamas and anti-Israel material on social media, as well as content supporting suicide attacks.
