Rice Raises New Suspicions about Iran's Nuclear Program
[AP/Washington Post] Anne Gearan - Secretary of State Rice raised fresh doubts Thursday about the nature of Iran's nuclear program, saying if it really wanted only peaceful atomic energy, it could quickly have it. "I continue to suspect this is not at all about a civil nuclear program," Rice said. Iran's insistence that it be able to enrich uranium on its terms seems at cross-purposes with that goal, she said. Rice is meeting Friday with other permanent members of the UN Security Council to discuss the next step with Iran.
